Bulk E-Mail Server Turbo Charges Custom SMTP Apps
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SMTP Express Increases Throughput and Reliability of Custom SMTP
Applications
Philadelphia, PA – April 8, 2003 – Quiksoft Corporation has announced
the availability of SMTP Express, an SMTP mail server optimized
specifically for high performance bulk mail applications.
“The traditional approach is to submit bulk mail to standard Internet
SMTP servers, but high performance applications need a dedicated
solution. Our SMTP servers are specifically designed to intercept
messages from SMTP applications and deliver those messages in the most
efficient manner possible," said John Alessi, CEO of Quiksoft. “With our
solutions, e-mail developers gain complete control over the delivery
process and don't have to deal with the complexities and sluggishness of
the corporate or ISP mail server."
SMTP Express runs in the background where it
intercepts sorts, queues, and reliably delivers
outbound e-mail messages. It picks up standard RFC-822 formatted
messages through the file system, rather than through TCP/IP, which
increases speed. SMTP Express can pick up messages from any
application that can generate RFC-822 files, however, Quiksoft's SMTP
components include built in functionality that makes the integration a
no-brainer.
SMTP Express puts you in total control of your outbound mail.
The status window allows you to monitor the progress of your mailing.
Various delivery parameters can be configured, such as how many times to
retry failed delivery attempts, how long to wait between retries, and
what happens when a message can not be delivered. SMTP Express can
generate log files which can be read by your application to
programmatically process delivery information.
A professional version of SMTP Express is available which will send up
to 256 messages concurrently in addition to many other performance
enhancements "under-the-hood". The professional version enables you
to fine tune delivery parameters on a domain-by-domain basis. For
example, you can limit the number of messages per connection for specific
domains, i.e. aol.com, to reduce the likelihood that legitimate bulk
mailings will be falsely interpreted as spam. Also included with
the professional version is the ability to create a "plug-in" to
programmatically monitor outbound e-mail.
SMTP Express runs on the Windows platform. More information and
a free trial are available at http://www.quiksoftcorp.com/smtpexpress.
