Founded in 1995 ComponentSource has built the world's largest repository of open market software components.
The company sells to a worldwide customer base having pioneered the global distribution of software components
over the Internet with an award winning e-business service model that has helped establish it as the market leader.
In order to maintain this level of success, ComponentSource relies upon EasyMail Objects by Quiksoft Corporation as its
COM-server for system generated e-mails to their customer database. Using EasyMail Objects ComponentSource send some 50,000 e-mails a month.
EasyMail Objects are a set of COM objects for creating, sending, retrieving, displaying, editing and printing Internet e-mail.
EasyMail Objects handle all of the low-level details and support features such as SMTP, ESMTP, POP3, IMAP4, MIME, Base64, Uuencode, Quoted-Printable,
HTML, built-in e-mail dialogs, message printing and Royalty-free license. EasyMail Objects come complete with extensive documentation and sample code.
Jim Parsons, Technical Director at ComponentSource, chose EasyMail Objects for its reliability and ease of use.
He states, “We use the component for a number of applications within the ComponentSource Web site: to provide in-line mail services for transactions such as confirmation of registration and mailing of passwords back to customers, to provide workflow type functions in which events within the system trigger emails to our customer services department, for sending bulk email to clients for upgrade notification and special offers, as well as for forwarding vendor submissions from HTML forms into our database.
The component is 100% reliable and with the release of EasyMail Objects V5.0 we will be adding HTML mail to further improve the service to our customers.”
